After weeks of preparation, filming, editing, and writing, we have finally listed our first fundraiser for the Growing Up With Shanghai project! This is a huge step in getting this entire project realized with the help of people who see the value of it.
Luxun Park was recorded in 2010 and now is ready to be finalized in the final format of the GUWS project. We have photos, Putonghua, and English translations, all we need are the Shanghainese character transcription and the final layout which is what this fundraiser is for.
Here is a little description of the Luxun Park walk:
Sally takes us to the area that she grew up in before she and her family emigrated to Canada. It was an amazing walk filled with sounds and sights of the local streets in the Hongkou district of Shanghai. Her intimate and amusing details of her childhood bring out the flavor of the neighborhood as it was and as you see it now.
You can go to our listing on the gofundme.com website to make a contribution and get some discounts and some free Bivouac Recording releases!
