Sound Recordists Network (SRN)
Recordists
We are building a network of field/ sound recordists around China. This network is open to professionals and hobbyists/ artists who have a knowledge and a passion for recording sound and experimental music. We will be needing passionate and professional recordists to record our Live albums. We can also refer you to other paid jobs that we are asked
Equipment and Knowledge
There is a minimum amount of equipment needed in order to be a part of the Network. You will need at least:
2 condenser microphones
Digital recorder (able to record 96/24)
2 Microphone stands and/or Tripod w/ spreader bar
Good quality cables, Headphones
Digital camera (No Cellphone cameras, please.)
Knowledge of a sound editing software (Avid, Logic) is a plus.
You must be knowledgeable in the use of your equipment and have experimented with typical stereo recording techniques. A critical ear for what is good quality sound and how to get it is a must have.
Your recordings for us will consist of recording live experimental performances in your town or other commissions. Your professional referrals will be dependent on the type of job, your experience, and your equipment.
You will be paid for your services.
